Who We Are

Southwood is a loving church with a family atmosphere made up of people who love Jesus and seek to follow His teachings. None of us walk with the Lord in perfection, but we are committed to growing in the Lord and serving our community together. If you are looking for a church to call home, or want to visit, come grow with us!

vision

Helping people Know God, Find Freedom, Discover Purpose, and Make a Difference.

Know God

We believe reaching people who do not know God personally to be one of our greatest responsibilities. Our gatherings are designed for people at all stages in their spiritual journey including those who haven’t attended church before or might be giving “church” another try. We are a church where people who don’t know God, Jesus, or anything about “church” feel welcomed and accepted. Our gatherings are  characterized by worship, practical teaching, and encouraging people to know Jesus as Lord & Savior.

Find Freedom

We believe lasting life change happens in the context of relationships. God created us to live in community with others, and it is only then that we can experience the full life He intends for us. We want to have life groups for the purpose of bringing people together and going deeper in discipleship with others.

Make a Difference

The church consists of people with unique abilities and passions who collectively, by the grace of God, can more effectively impact the lives of others. We believe the church is called, equipped, and accountable to advance God's Kingdom in our community and beyond.
